Drug Rehab - Cost Vs. Saving A Life

When a family member, friend or love one is abusing drugs, one of the last considerations people take into account is drug rehab cost. This is mainly due to the fact that you cannot put a price on saving someone from a serious addiction that affects their negatively on every level. People with serious drug addiction problems cannot work, socialise or function normally in society on a daily basis.

Drug rehab cost is mainly dependant on the type of drug the individual is addicted to and the length of time he or she will need to spend in a rehab facility. You can also calculate the drug rehab cost in relation to the amount of money the addicted person is spending to feed their habit.

There are, however, several ways in which you can source funds for the drug rehab cost. Find out if the individual is on a medical aid. Some medical aids will cover all or part of the drug rehab cost on a once-off basis. It is therefore very important to find a rehab centre which is well known for its high success rate in treating and rehabilitating drug addictions. It is also imperative that the individual stay for the full length of the programme offered by the rehab facility to improve the chances of success.

You can also approach family and friends of the individual and find out if they are willing to contribute and funds towards rehabilitating the addicted individual. Drug addiction does not just affect the user but every person with whom they come in contact with and people are more than likely to assist financially provided the user has not relapsed before.
