From an initial staff of three, SCRC now employs a staff of 44 caregivers, all with extensive expertise and experience in their respective fields. All members of the therapeutic team are qualified and registered with the appropriate governing bodies.
More importantly, all are exceptionally committed to this ministry. We take the successful treatment of every individual in our care personally.

The ratio of professional staff to residents is 1:7. Working alongside the various therapists and medical personnel are a maintenance team, kitchen staff, and administration staff – all who play a vital role in the therapeutic community and recovery-oriented lifestyle.
Four staff members reside on-site and are able to provide support at all times.
Advisory Boards, both locally and internationally, provide SCRC with guidance, international treatment trends and developments, as well as ensuring that there is transparent adherence to all ethics and applicable regulations.
Programme director, Conrad Cooper, is a member of the "Central Drug Authority", the body empowered through the Drug Dependency Act that is responsible for the National Drug Master Plan. He is also a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Substance Abuse Forum.

SCRC's approach is aimed at facilitating change from the culture of addiction to the culture of recovery.
This process will yield limited success when approached outside of a residential treatment facility particularly when detoxification is required. It is imperative that individuals entering treatment are given as much training and education as possible.
